The airship is transported in a purpose built mobile hangar. On arrival at the venue the airship is transported by hand into the flying area and is tethered to a small mast. From here the helium is topped up and all the systems are tested. Typically the airship will fly for periods of around 25 minutes between battery changes. Using the drop mechanism, drops can be made over the crowds at predetermined times or at will. Battery changes take around 5 minutes. The airship operates at heights from 3 metres up to 20 metres and speeds from 1 to 3mph.
